Not in the way it was pitched. It arrived a decade into the game’s life against a mod menu scene that had already survived everything Rockstar threw at it. Menus adapted within weeks of the rollout, and the community’s read on it since has mostly been inconsistent enforcement rather than a clean sweep.
Because a huge chunk of what a menu can do, money drops, vehicle control, session-wide effects, depends on who’s hosting the lobby, not just what’s running on your machine. It’s a different problem than a pure client-side detection fight, and it’s a big part of why this scene has outlasted so many anti-cheat attempts.
Historically, no. The community consensus and even cheat developers who’ve spoken publicly point to infrequent hard bans compared to how often menus get used. Soft kicks and temporary session issues are far more common than an actual Rockstar Cloud ban.
Free and leaked menus circulate everywhere, which means BattlEye and Rockstar see them constantly and patch the obvious signatures fast. Maintained private builds aren’t public knowledge in the same way, which is the entire point of paying for one.
GTA Online ran without any real anti-cheat for over a decade. BattlEye only got bolted on in September 2024, and the reception has matched that timing: a decade of an entrenched mod menu scene doesn’t disappear because a client scanner shows up late. Public lobbies still see menus running, and the “BattlEye needs to update” kick message is frequently a fake client-side message from another modder in the session, not a real detection event.
A lot of what matters here comes down to session host, not just client bypass. Money drops, vehicle spawns, and the deeper menu features lean heavily on host control, which is a different fight than beating a scanner outright. Rockstar’s actual ban activity on this game has stayed infrequent by the community’s own long-running account, favoring soft kicks over hard Rockstar Cloud bans in most cases.
Free and leaked menus burn fast, get flagged, and get passed around forums until BattlEye catches up to the obvious ones. Maintained private builds are a different tier entirely, and that’s the category we operate in.
Ready means the build is live and currently undetected. Maintenance means BattlEye or a Rockstar update forced a rebuild, and the product is pulled until it’s verified clean again. No permanent safety claims on a game with this much history behind it.
